UMAJA, a name shaped by Africa, a pepper shaped by fire.
Pronounced "oo-MA-dja", UMAJA is a name of unity, drawn from languages, cultures and peoples who share one truth: great taste is universal. Our pepper grows on the volcanic slopes of Mount Manengouba, in soil enriched by centuries of eruption and rain. It is picked by hand, sun-dried on woven mats, and sorted grain by grain by families who have farmed this land for three generations.
This is not a commodity. It is a heritage, protected, traceable, and cultivated with the patience of people who know that a truly great pepper cannot be rushed.
